1836 Belgian Organic Rum

1836 is the Organic and Fairtrade product line of the Radermacher distillery in the East Cantons of Belgium. The 1836 Premium organic Rum consists of a distillate of organic sugar cane that is matured in French oak Limousin barrels that were previously used to mature Lambertus Whisky. Afterwards, this aromatic Rum is aged in new American oak barrels.
As a finishing touch, the Rum is filtered on flakes of Organic cocoa beans.
In the nose you will discover the aromas of a matured French style Rum, where the maturation in oak certainly appears due to the hints of dried fruit.
In the mouth you notice a sweet taste that is surrounded by wood and notes of honey and vanilla.
The aftertaste is sweet and green with a soft fade.
